Digital celebration of LGBTQ+

British Council has made an approach to their 6th edition of film festival on Five Films of Freedom. British council along with the London LGBTQ⁺ film festival has launched the global project of the digital celebration of LGBT – themed movies.

As the world is under lockdown and with not much to do during quarantine, British council has made these films available free of cost on their Global Digital platform. The #FiveFilmsofFreedom this year focuses on exploring love and acceptance of the community. A curated series of influencers from the community is also made available on the website.

Also, the platform contains the discussion on ‘Building Resilient LGBTQ⁺ communities in India’ by Anish Gawande – co-founder of Pink list, Maya Sharma – Author and Rachna Mudraboyina – Trans activist.
